Hello Cornwall

It’s our third day here in Cornwall and it has been absolutely beautiful. The weather is amazing and so is the view from the house we are staying in with some friends.

After a boat trip to Falmouth we will be back in St Mawes tonight to celebrate New Year’s. We haven’t planned too much. We will just cook dinner, have drinks, and play some games. Sometimes it’s those chilled out New Year’s Eves that are the best.

What have you guys got planned for tonight?

Christmas in Germany

Today will be my last night here in Düsseldorf and I will spend it with some friends at a Tapas bar.

I had such an amazing time here at home!

Tomorrow I will be off to England to celebrate New Year’s in Cornwall!

How was your Christmas? I hope you had a great time! xx

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!

I hope you guys are having a wonderful Christmas! I spent yesterday with my family in Germany and had an amazing evening with good food and nice presents!

I think as you get older it’s much more about giving gifts rather than receiving them. Don’t you agree?

Merry Christmas and enjoy your holidays

Marina Miracle for men

Let’s be honest here – most guys are not too much into skincare. And my boyfriend is not any different. But when I told him he could test the Marina Miracle range for men, he was up for it right away. Probably because he had heard me rave about her products for weeks.
And guess what: Suddenly I saw him coming out of the bathroom with a big smile every day, proudly patting his face. And here is what he thought about the products. (Oh yes, Marina Miracle does work miracle for men as well!)

The Marina Miracle for men daytime 100% Natural Active Face Oil gives you a refreshing feeling for the day ahead and leaves you feeling energized. It keeps your skin moisturized all day without feeling oily as it soaks in very quickly.

The Marina Miracle for men night time 100% Natural Reload Night Serum has a soothing fragrance which will give you a good night’s sleep and it is just as mousturizing. It leaves the skin feeling really soft.

Copenhagen Part I

Oh, what a wonderful city Copenhagen is! Can’t believe it took me so long to come here for the first time. And if you haven’t been here yet, just pack your bags and go!

It is full of beautiful old buildings, nice restaurants and the nightlife is not so bad either. You can definitely feel the Scandinavian vibe along with a certain unique and slightly alternative style.

Will tell you more about my trip very soon. For now you can see some pictures from last night.

Mini-Guide: London

What I love about London is that there is always something new to discover, no matter how many times you have been there before.
I absolutely love sightseeing and think London’s history is so interesting that I could do the most popular tourist places again and again.

But especially when you are among English people who have seen everything multiple times and when the obvious spots are too busy during Christmas time, it is nice to just hang out in the centre and look for presents.

Here is my mini guide for a short gift shopping weekend. I hope you enjoy!

Victoria's secret
If you (like me) live in a country where Victoria’s Secret doesn’t exist, you might find it just as exciting to look for underwear, accessories and make-up here.
111 New Bond Street
Be it a present or just a treat to yourself – Charbonnel et Walker is the right shop if you like chocolate in fancy design boxes.
28 Old Bond Street
Burlington Arcade
Burlington Arcade is always a good idea if you are looking for antique jewellery, decoration and accessories.
51 Piccadilly
Sotheby's auction house
Auction house Sotheby’s displays many different artefacts from paintings to jewellery. Not that I could afford anything in there but it is nice to look around. It has a small arty book shop as well which is perfect to find very unique presents.
34-35 New Bond Street
Fortnum & Mason
Fortnum & Mason: One of the oldest department stores in England is an absolute must for me every time I go to London. It still has that old-fashioned 19th century style and gives you the opportunity to shop for delicacies, clothes, cosmetics, decoration and accessories. I like to get tea there which comes in beautiful tin boxes and is absolutely delicious.
181 Piccadilly

I am back from an amazing weekend in London. We had a delicious Christmas dinner with a nice bunch of people, exchanged Secret Santa presents and did some Christmas shopping.

I tried to pack light to leave some space for shopping items. Most important was my new top by Gina Tricot, my Secret Santa present, and my 2 Advent calendar bags for the weekend.

Winter essentials

Although the Norwegian winter has been a bit lazy so far (as in no snow and quite warm), it gets really windy and chilly once the sun has set. Especially if you are walking along the coast.

This means I don’t leave the house without an oversized scarf and a wool hat anymore but my absolute favourites are my classic Norwegian mittens. They are handmade and 100% wool and I can tell you my hands have never been this warm in winter.

Christmas tree

The tree is up and decorated. Can’t believe Christmas is in two weeks and the year is almost over. For the first time in 5 months I will be going home to Germany and I can’t wait to see friends and family and drink “Glühwein” at the Christmas market.

What are your plans for the holidays? Have you decorated the tree yet?

Christmas vibe

Although this year there is no snow, no Christmas markets like back at home and not even cold weather, I am starting to feel a lot like Christmas.

Decoration and lights are a

ll around, cafés look cozier than ever and it’s nice to browse shops for Christmas gifts.

Now I am off to a party with traditional British Christmas food. Anyone tried mince pies before? :D

Red lips

Last week I took a little photo tour with the amazing photgrapher Theresia Pauls. Having some red on me that day, she matched me with the perfect lip colour by Dior.

I have always been a fan of their lipsticks and glosses but was kind of hesitant to use orange undertones. I thought this colour would go much better with dark hair but I quite liked this one. This bold look is something that I probably wouldn’t normally wear for daytime but it’s perfect for a night out.

The rest of Theresia’s photos are coming soon! Meanwhile you can check her out and book her via tpauls.com

One of the most exciting things in December for me is opening my Advent calendar every day. So much more fun to wake up when there is something to look forward to.

Today I got a Christmas coffee blend with honey, raisins, fruit and nuts. So delicious!

Do you have a calendar too? Or did you give one to a special someone?
