Yesterday we spent all day in Seville. It was a 2.5 hour drive from Marbella but definitely worth it. It’s such a beautiful old city with lovely little streets and it’s full of flowers. I definitely have to go back there for longer some day.
Please tell me if you have any other tips about what to see here in Spain!
Yesterday I spent all day at Lydbølger, a festival at Bore Beach. It is the second time it takes place here in Norway and includes surfing, kite surfing, yoga and many different bands. Nice idea and also a nice wordplay, it means “sound waves”. We were really lucky to have such sunny weather.
Now I’m off to more beach and sun cause I’m flying to Spain
Look what I found in my mail! As I told you already, I am a big Kiehls fan and have lots of their amazing products. Now they have provided me with an Aromatic Blends set and a personal Kiehls Best Friends Club card, which means you get exclusive offers or invitations to events. Can’t wait to find out more!
Any other Kiehls fans out there or do you have another skincare brand that you swear by? Have a nice Friday evening everyone!
Only 3 days until I am going on a holiday to Marbella. I can’t wait. Has anyone of you ever been there? I was hoping to get some tips from you on what to see, where to go out and where to do some shopping.
Thank you simidayz for nominating me for Liebster Award!

What do you do when you finish dinner and realise that you don’t have any dessert in the house? I just had to go to the supermarket around the corner and get some sweets. The Norwegians call it Smågodt, the Germans gemischte Tüte and the English Pick & Mix. You chose your own sweets and put them in an old-fashioned little bag. I love this!
If you moved to another country and could only take one decoration article with you, what would it be? For me it was candle holders. I actually took more than just one with me, but considering that my old place in Germany was full of stuff it is not really much, is it?
I think candles create such a cozy atmosphere and can make almost any room look nice.
I forgot how great Accessorize was – until I saw these socks on someone else’s feet! Don’t you just love animal socks? They made me check out the Accessorize website today and I found amazing jewellery, bags and swimwear. I think I will stop by the store tomorrow.
Hanging out on balconies with beautiful views seems to become a tradition. After having dinner in town we had drinks on our friends’ balcony, watched the sunset and the thunderstorm that approached later. I still haven’t got used to living right by the sea but of course I absolutely love it.
Don’t you think that some Saturdays are just made for sleeping late and having coffee in bed? That’s exactly what I did today after a night with friends and a BBQ on the balcony.
Before getting dressed up for a night out later I decided to just throw on some comfy clothes. I have always liked tops with slogans but now I have found my ultimate accessory: Jewellery with a message.
My new double necklace from H&M has one lavaliere with a horse shoe and one that says “lucky”.
Have you ever found a shop that makes you want to get every piece they sell? I have! My recent discovery is called Monki. This London based brand has a store just around the corner. I had been passing it a few times until I eventually couldn’t resist anymore.
Monki has a lot of clothes with crazy patterns but also some very laid back basics that are easy to combine. Scroll down for the link to their online shop and also see my photos of their amazing changing rooms from inside!
All you need is love… and a good cup of coffee. This is what it said on one of the blackboards at Steamkaffebar where I had an Iced Café Latte today. I have always wondered why there is no Starbucks in Norway but now I know. It’s these little cafés that make it absolutely unnecesary. Scroll down and see for yourself…
When I looked out of the window this morning, I saw grey skies. Made me feel a little sad considering we had 30 degrees last week. But by the time I had turned on my computer and checked my email, I already felt better. All those newsletters about autumn fashion that I have been getting for dome days, suddenly felt just right. Is anyone else getting the autumn shopping vibe even if it’s only July?
I decided to do some next season fashion browsing and I found my today’s favourite on the H&M website: A black leather mini skirt.
Scroll down for picture and link.
What are your autumn must-haves? Any more ideas or online shops worth checking out?
There are plenty of after sun products to buy in summer but I never found one that does the job for me: Soft skin, nice smell and not sticky is hard to find. In a previous post I reviewed Creme de Corps by Kiehls which is amazing but a little too expensive for everyday use.
Luckily I was given this amazing bodylotion by a friend: Treaclemoon One Ginger Morning has a nice ginger scent (obviously) and leaves your skin soft and nourished all day. I like applying this after my morning shower or after a day on the beach cause it makes me feel refreshed and awake.
What is your favourites bodylotion or after sun? Has anyone tried the other Treaclemoon products? What fragrance is the best one?
This summer I really love bright pink and coral shades on my lips. My latest discovery is the Soft Sensation Colour & Care Lipstick by Astor. I wear it in 403 – Attractive Coral. It is super moisturizing and highly pigmented. The best thing about it is the SPF 20 that protects the lips from sun damage. The colour is really intense, so if you want just a hint of colour, you can lightly dab it onto your lips or dab away with a tissue after applying.
Yesterday we went on a little road trip to a waterfall in Frafjord. Since it started raining on our way, we stopped at a traditional Norwegian café to coffee and waffles. I bought these delicious and very old-fashioned looking sweets. I ate them all after taking the pictures – very tasty!
The weather in Norway is still amazing. It was hot and sunny all week and it’s the first time ever that I actually LIVE nearby a beach. But of course you can’t be sun-tanning and swimming 24/7. Today we went into town and walked along the harbour, looked at all the delicacies at the food festival and had a smoothie at Joe and the Juice. Have you checked it out yet? They make the most delicious juices. It’s healthy and fresh as well.
When summer comes around you don’t want to spend too much time on getting ready and doing your make-up. You just want to get out to enjoy the sun – and of course still look your best!
I found some products that are just perfect for this season.
I have been a Kiehls fan for quite a while now and these are my latest discoveries. The BB cream has just the right amount of coverage to let your skin tone shine through and still hide imperfections. I don’t like wearing heavy foundations in summer cause when you tan, your skin tone changes and you still want a good colour match for every day.
The Creme de Corps is perfect after sun bathing. It leaves your skin hydrated and soft and has a lovely scent.
Again two amazing products for beach days. I love the hair oil because it prevents my hair from splitting. You need that little bit of extra care when your hair is exposed to salt water and sun all the time. You only need 3 pumps and work it into your wet hair.
The gel like polish by Guerlain is a top coat that makes your nails a little stronger without looking to thick. You can wear it alone or as a top coat over your regular nail polish and gives your nails a shiny look. Goodbye brittle nails!
High Beam by Benefit is an amazing highlighter that reflects sunlight and adds a bit of a glow to your tanned skin. Lightly dab it onto your cheek bones and below the eyebrows for a shiny finish.
As I said before, heavy make-up is nothing for hot summer days. Maybelline Baby Lips is a lip balm with a hint of colour. I wear it in Cherry Me.
