A week at home

Two days ago I came back from a week in my hometown Düsseldorf. Was so nice to see all my friends and family again and of course try out some new places to have food and drinks at.

My new favourite café I was introduced to by a friend is definitely Uhlenbusch. After a quiet breakfast there the place was buzzing during lunchtime and I heard that in the evenings dinner is served by a chef who deserves at least one star.

I think Uhlenbusch has the right amount of  “Berlin style” mixed with some really delicious and traditional snacks.

Christmas in Germany

Today will be my last night here in Düsseldorf and I will spend it with some friends at a Tapas bar.

I had such an amazing time here at home!

Had mulled wine at the Christmas market (although this photo was taken after they had closed down already)

Tomorrow I will be off to England to celebrate New Year’s in Cornwall!

How was your Christmas? I hope you had a great time! xx

September inspiration

One store I really miss here in Norway is Breuninger – a big department store located in my hometown Düsseldorf and some other German cities. Can’t wait to go home soon and do some shopping :D

Coat, Sweater and Trousers: Strenesse

My favourite decoration: Candles

If you moved to another country and could only take one decoration article with you, what would it be? For me it was candle holders. I actually took more than just one with me, but considering that my old place in Germany was full of stuff it is not really much, is it?

I think candles create such a cozy atmosphere and can make almost any room look nice.
