Minimal

Not that it was anywhere near to warm enough for wearing short sleaves when I took these pictures, but I really wanted to show you this baby pink, silky top that I got from Topshop recently.
I like that it is so minimal and yet has a special detail on the back, which makes it perfect for any occasion.

Do you have a favourite piece in your wardrobe that you like to wear anytime and anyplace?

Reindeer gloves

I think January is officially the coldest month in most European countries. While we had a really mild December here in Norway, it is getting really chilly now with minus temperatures.
In my opinion there is no better way to get through this weather than with the right accessories – that keep you warm and look good.
That is why I love my new reindeer gloves!

A simple T-Shirt

Over the past few months I have often been reaching for rather masculine looking T-Shirts, even from my boyfriend’s wardrobe. And no, not only for chilling on the sofa, but to actually combine with my daily outfit. I think a baggy top with super tight pants can look really cool and laid-back.

Some weeks ago my friend, photographer Theresia Pauls, asked me to wear this lovely red T-Shirt from Grana for a photo shoot. Of course I was thrilled!

I really like Theresia’s style because of the vivid colours and brightness. And red lipstick and top were perfect for a grey winter day in Norway.

Check Theresia out here for contact and bookings!

Pardon my French

Recently one of my wardrobes favourites has been my new top from Gina Tricot.
I have always loved tops with messages and the Gina Tricot ones are particularly comfy to wear and easy to match for any occasion.
I have worn it with high heels on nights out and with sneakers and jeans at daytime.
In this case I have chosen something in between: A black skirt and oversized cardigan with medium heel ankle boots.

London

I am back from an amazing weekend in London. We had a delicious Christmas dinner with a nice bunch of people, exchanged Secret Santa presents and did some Christmas shopping.

London
I tried to pack light to leave some space for shopping items. Most important was my new top by Gina Tricot, my Secret Santa present, and my 2 Advent calendar bags for the weekend.

We did some shopping at Liberty’s and Fortnum & Mason’s (two of the oldest department stores) and Church’s.

Faux leather

As many of you know already, I am a big fan of all kinds of leggings. My latest addition to my collection are these back leggings with faux leather details from Calzedonia. Here I combined them with a classic white blouse and semi-high ankle boots. But what I like about these pants is that you could also wear them with a plain T-shirt or an oversized sweater and sneakers.

Hunky Dory…

…and by that I am not only referring to the brand my sweater is from. Everything actually is hunky dory on a sunny autumn day like today ;) We had lunch outside and it was so warm that I wished I was wearing a t-shirt instead. I wouldn’t mind a little more of that summer weather next week.

I hope you guys had a sunny Sunday as well. xx

Knit wear

One of this season’s must-haves are plain knit sweaters in neutral colours – easily to match with jeans or skirts, sneakers or high heels.

I found my favourite one at H&M last weekend.

Basics

You don’t need to buy many clothes….if you get the right basics. It’s easy to make an outfit look good for any occasion if you mix and match with the right shoes, jewellery and accessories. This season I love grey, white and black with silver, gold or pearl jewellery.

In these photos I’m wearing a blazer from H&M, a top from Selected Femme, skinny jeans from Bik Bok and high heels from Buffalo London.

My necklace is from Topshop and my bracelets are from Primark.

Golden hour

The sun has started to set earlier now here in Norway. And in a few weeks, after a summer of long days and bright nights, it will get dark earlier than in most other parts of the world.

I watched the sun set on a small island nearby last night, soaking up the sun before the dark season comes.

New Balance

The day I bought my new sneakers I was actually looking for some black leather ankle boots for fall. In one of the shoe stores I saw some New Balance and thought why not quickly try them on – just to see how they look. I had always  liked them but never owned any so far cause I found my pair of white Converse would be enough for the sneaker section in my closet.

I changed my mind as soon as I wore these very comfortable and surprisingly warm (therefore perfect for fall!) pair of New Balance that I now call my own.

I just love them! Maybe those leather boots can wait a bit longer ;)

Jewellery

For some reason I have never been the kind of girl that likes expensive jewellery. If I had an unlimited amount to spend at Tiffany’s, I would get…nothing!

It might be the fact that custome jewellery is less expensive and you can just buy more of it but I also like that it is a little more plain. My favourite pieces are from H&M, topshop and Primark.

What are your thoughts on jewellery and where do you like to buy yours? Do you go for the budget version or like wearing genuine jewllery?

Oversized scarf

I love living right by the sea! You get the most amazing views and can watch beautiful sunsets. My walk into the city center leads me along the waterfront and a little harbour with sailing boats.

But as autumn is close, it gets windier and a lot colder by the water.  I found the perfect solution to keep myself warm: My new oversized scarf from H&M. I can wrap it around my shoulders or wear it around my neck depending on how chilly it is.

What is your favourite atumn accessory?

Stormy weather

Yesterday I took a walk along the sea by the lighthouse in Randaberg. It was really windy and for the first time this year I had to wear a scarf again.

Of course I’m a little sad that summer is over. But at the same time I think it’s nice being by the sea in this kind of weather when the wind is sweeping through your hair and the air smells of salt water.

Autumn inspiration

I love flipping through catalogues, it feels kind of oldschool. So cool that H&M actually send catalogues to all their online costumers.

Autumn is close, so it was perfect timing for some next season inspiration.

Moods of Norway

Today my outfit matches the weather: Grey! Don’t you think that clouds always seem twice as bad after coming back from a beach holiday?

My favourite top never fails to make me feel a little better though. It’s from Moods of Norway, a brand that usually creates fashion in the craziest colours. I truly believe this is the only grey item the ever produced ;)

I love how I can combine it with comfortable sneakers just as well as heels. Today I chose the laid-back version.

Hola Sevilla!

Yesterday we spent all day in Seville. It was a 2.5 hour drive from Marbella but definitely worth it. It’s such a beautiful old city with lovely little streets and it’s full of flowers. I definitely have to go back there for longer some day.

Please tell me if you have any other tips about what to see here in Spain!

Sea and music

Yesterday I spent all day at Lydbølger, a festival at Bore Beach. It is the second time it takes place here in Norway and includes surfing, kite surfing, yoga and many different bands. Nice idea and also a nice wordplay, it means “sound waves”. We were really lucky to have such sunny weather.

Now I’m off to more beach and sun cause I’m flying to Spain :)

Getting ready for the beach

Summer in Norway might be over. I was able to sit down by the sea for about 10 minutes before it started raining again.

A perfect day to start packing for a week on the beach.

Waiting for…Marbella

Only 3 days until I am going on a holiday to Marbella. I can’t wait. Has anyone of you ever been there? I was hoping to get some tips from you on what to see, where to go out and where to do some shopping.

Au revoir tristesse

What do you do when you finish dinner and realise that you don’t have any dessert in the house? I just had to go to the supermarket around the corner and get some sweets. The Norwegians call it Smågodt, the Germans gemischte Tüte and the English Pick & Mix. You chose your own sweets and put them in an old-fashioned little bag. I love this!

I forgot how great Accessorize was – until I saw these socks on someone else’s feet! Don’t you just love animal socks? They made me check out the Accessorize website today and I found amazing jewellery, bags and swimwear. I think I will stop by the store tomorrow.
